Well, I'm not really a fan girl, I guess. I don't own any jerseys or have season tickets to any local sports. Maybe I have a crush on the quarterback, but the football team mostly sucks. We actually lost (as in physically misplaced) the Bills tickets we had last month, and didn't really mind staying home to watch them lose.
But I must thank the Bills for their win against Cincinnati last weekend (which I missed, because it was Christmas Eve and we went to Mass). Thanks to them, my $10 investment at the beginning of the season has finally paid off, and I am now $40 richer. Translation: I bought a square in the company's annual football pool (which lasts the whole season with winners each week) and finally won something. :) That was pretty cool.
In hockey news, the Sabres are kicking butt. (I have probably just jeopardized the entire rest of the season by saying that. Hockey fans are very superstitious, I have learned.) Joe and I drove downtown on Monday to see if we could pick up some tickets off a scalper. Didn't succeed, but it was something to do. Anyway, watching hockey has been much more interesting this year than in previous years. I think that's mostly because we're winning, although the "new" game might have something to do with it too. (But mostly, I think it is because the "new" game has us winning.) Anyway, in honor of their coolness, I changed my login name on the board and photoshopped a hockey sweater onto the cat for my avatar.
Yes, I am looking forward to getting out of here and having 5 days off in a row. Why do you ask? :D
Unrelatedly, don't you love how "photoshop" is now a verb? It doesn't matter that I didn't actually use Photoshop to do the cutting, cropping, pasting, and retouching (I used Macromedia Fireworks). Everybody knew what I meant. ;)
