It's snowing!

I don't care what Joe says (since I'm certain he would deny that it's doing any such thing), it is snowing right now. I'm not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing. ;) It seems too early for snow. And yet, it is November. I dunno... is it just me or did this year go by really fast? I can hardly believe that Thanksgiving is only 2 weeks away, and probably less than a week from now the radio stations will all be playing 24-hour Christmas music, and suddenly I'm starting to feel behind on my Christmas shopping.

Speaking of Christmas, I feel a lot differently about it this year than I did last year. And I'm having a harder time coming up with gifts for some people. But anyway, last year I realized that all the music they play on the radio is pretty much secular crap. Some of it's good, but most isn't. Over and over and over the same songs for weeks on end (and abruptly over at midnight Christmas Day). I want some good recordings of the Christian carols. (If anyone's looking for ideas.) ;) Silent Night, Away in a Manger, pretty much anything you'd find in the "Christmas" section of a hymnal. And Advent too. Oh Come Oh Come Emmanuel is a long-time favorite. I'd love to hear it in Latin too. :) (I'm having this thing for Latin. I think that's the next language I want to learn. Screw Java.) ;)

But I digress. ;) My point was that it is snowing. Goodbye to the perfect fall weekend of two weeks ago... winter is on its way.
