At long last, I return.
So much for writing every day, eh? :) Oh well.
Thanksgiving Break was much-needed and good for that reason. I got absolutely nothing accomplished, but at least it was fun. Now that I'm back school hasn't been nearly as stressful as I figured it would be. I owned last week's test in compiler. In general the class did abysmally bad on the second question, but I got 57 out of 60 on it, 97 on the whole test. Of the people I've talked to, I'm the only one who even got a grade on the second question, so that made me very happy. I really don't think I can get less than an A in that class, and that is a good feeling. Also, Ryan and I have our compiler pretty much done. Just a few tiny things to work out yet, but it will easily be finished in time for our test tomorrow. It's kinda cool that we wrote a compiler that actually compiles basic C++ code. It gives me a fuzzy feeling all over. :)
My project for databases is also pretty much done, at least I think it is. Not really sure what else we would have to do for it. We ended up doing it in Access since Oracle refused to cooperate, which I think took away from the learning experience (we should have used MySQL in my opinion) but at least it was easy. I think I have a good handle on databases anyway.
So that leaves Fiction and Bible. Bible won't be a big deal, since I'll have all the possible questions for the final ahead of time, and anyway I have a good record with that prof (every essay, paper, story, whatever that I've ever written for him has gotten an A). Honestly I think I might even have a chance at an A in the course, and that is sad, since the only books I read were Genesis, Ruth, Susanna, Bel, and Jonah (and parts of others). But hey, it's not my fault that English teachers can't do math. :)
And that leaves Fiction. I've got about a week left till the portfolio is due and it's not coming along too badly. Actually after the compiler is done I can devote all my time between tomorrow and Monday to finishing it (which basically means, finishing A Baby Story)... although I will probably spend at least half of that time playing Scrabble and/or The Sims. :-D But then all that's left are finals!
Oh, and we have tickets to The Two Towers on Tuesday night at 11:59 (the very first showing!), which will be awesome! Luckily I don't have any finals on Wednesday to worry about being overtired for. The suckiest thing is that all my finals are Thursday and Friday. :P So I don't get to go home until the very last possible day. Oh well. Because then I will be FREE!!!!!!
Two weeks till Christmas.
Three weeks till Disney World.
*Happy, contented sigh.*
