A Fair Day

Thursday evening we returned to the Erie County Fair for the express purpose of doing the following things:
1. Eating REAL fried dough.
2. Riding the Top Spin.

Mission accomplished. ;)

While we were there, we also had a Lime Fizz (again, I love those things) and gorged ourselves on maple sugar candy (...again) and watched the amazing Chinese Acrobats (you guessed it, again!). Some things never get old, I guess!

We found ourselves in the video gaming place early on, and decided to play (we usually don't because it's such a waste of money). Lo and behold, we walked out of there with 25% more money than we put in. Yeah, so we put a dollar in the nickel machine and cashed out with $1.25, but hey, we can say we officially won some money at a casino-type-place. Joe says I should frame the quarter. :)

Other fun things included running into some of Joe's students at the free Seven Day Faith show (although I guess Joe may not have thought that was so fun); discovering a stroller chained to a picnic table, covered with a sheet (luckily, it had a cooler in it, not a baby!); seeing an elephant reaching out to touch people; playing I Got It (we didn't Get It though); and topping off the night with a ride on the Ferris Wheel above the lighted midway.

I love the end of summer. :)
