Yes, I know. I'm pathetic.

So I've spent the past couple of hours shamelessly steeped in a guilty pleasure: browsing The Knot. I'm a dork, yes, I know, I know. I've tried to quit. Tell all these people around me to quit getting married for awhile. Maybe I can wean myself back off. (Of course then they all get into having babies and I find myself on BabyCenter. WHAT is my problem???)

Anyway, I was reading some chatroom girl's bio and she had this quote in there:

"I dreamed of a wedding of elaborate elegance, filled with flowers and friends. I asked him what kind of wedding he wished for; he said one that would make me his wife." (Anonymous)

Yeah... I liked it. And it also made me realize just how pathetic I am. So I think I will give up The Knot until I'm, oh, let's say, engaged. Cuz until then it really doesn't make sense to be there.

On the plus side. :)

I love my boyfriend. I haven't seen him since breakfast but we had the nicest chat on AIM and really, it was just great. He's coming over for breakfast tomorrow AND he's going to wake me up instead of my alarm clock. The advantages to him having keys to my apartment. :) I dunno, I am really looking forward to that, and just to seeing him and giving him hugs and kisses. I'm foregoing my only sleeping-in day of the week to wake up at 7:00am just to see him! It must be love! :D So anyway yeah. Can't wait for breakfast time. :)

This is going to be a great weekend. Busy, but really good. Tomorrow after the wonderful waking-up, Joe gets to teach his first CCD class of the year, and I'm gonna stay home, fold laundry, and do the minor dishes-sweeping-cat type chores, and then maybe take a nice hot bubble bath. And read a book and listen to classical music. Ahhh. (What book? Harry Potter? Shel Silverstein? Random poetry? ...Do I have anything else? I really need to collect the things formerly of my bookcase at home...) Then in the afternoon we are going to the Reilly's, where I'm attending a PartyLite Show hosted by Emily (and most likely purchasing some sort of deliciously-scented candle with holder) and Joe gets to hang out with Sean for a couple of hours. :) That will be fun! And THEN we are going to Joe's cousin's wedding! So a busy day for sure, but definitely a lot of fun. :)

And Sunday of course is my birthday. :) Which everyone ought to know even without my usual slew of countdowns and reminders. :D I've been very good this year, I must say! And I'm really looking forward to the day. Joe took the day off from work to spend with me, which is so sweet! :) I don't know what we'll do exactly, except that I assume we're going to Canada because Joe took out his money for the week in Canadian funds. ;) I don't really care what we do though (he doesn't believe me no matter how much I say that, but it's true). I'm just looking forward to a day of "just us". I don't care if it's pouring and we go puddle-stomping. Actually that kinda sounds like fun. ;) Hehe. But yeah. Sunday's my birthday, and I will be the big 23. I'm so old. :D Perhaps I will muse on that later, but now, I'm ready to get some sleep in so the cute can come wake me up. :)

PS "I Will Be Here" by Steven Curtis Chapman is SUCH a beautiful song. ;)
