They say a picture is worth a thousand words.

I moved into my new apartment on Friday. It is wonderful beyond words. It has four whole rooms, three closets, central air, and a balcony. And it's all MINE. The food in the kitchen is mine. The dishes and pots and pans and dish drainer -- all mine. The magnets on the fridge are mine. The shower curtain in the bathroom is mine. The bath mat and all the towels. All the games in the hall closet. The computer and desk and chair in the living room. The flowers on the computer desk. ;) Even the mess of empty boxes and Wal-Mart bags on the floor... it's all mine.

It hasn't set in yet, that this is really home, that this is where I live now. Once the furniture gets here, it might help... at the moment it's mostly full of half-packed crap, piled around like always. I haven't been fully unpacked in months. It's a pleasant thought... I can get rid of some of my trash... go against my pack-rat tendencies. (I don't REALLY need my AP Calc notebook anymore do I?) ;)

I can't wait for it to look like home. Stuff on the walls, big comfy couch to crash on, a bookcase full of books and useless knick-knacks... my own table and chairs... Those flowers would look awfully pretty on a dining table... or an end table... or a bookcase... or even a dresser... or even my desk, if it wasn't piled with other crap, but as it's currently my only piece of furniture, it's looking cluttered. It doesn't do my flowers justice in its current state. :)

Even so.
