One more day till Friday... one more day till Niagara... affectionately known as "Falls Friday" and strangely reminiscent of "Phantom Friday" which, believe it or not (and I'm not sure I do) was two whole months ago. Time does fly. :)

Tomorrow, besides being "Falls Friday" is also Friday the thirteenth, which many say is bad luck but I say not... I say it's good luck. :) The day following it is Saturday, which is the fourteenth, which is our "unofficial four-month anniversary" (which you know, if you read my last blog entry), which is, of course, cool. We're celebrating by relaxing for the evening in [what I hear is] a really nice room in a fancy hotel, overlooking the falls. Ahhh.... that sounds incredible. :) I actually started packing last night! Just a couple more things to throw in tomorrow morning and I'm ready to go... course first I have to get through the whole day of work... but it'll be fine. I'll probably be busy so that'll make the day go by. :)

I'm in a great mood today in spite of a couple of minor details, most of them physical... I'm going to rant them out of the way for a second so I can move on. So, three small things: 1. feeling crampy (figures don't it) -- not too bad, surely tolerable and hopefully it won't get worse. 2. My legs are bothering me, left one in particular, reason being the chair that I sit in all day, although I suppose it really isn't TOO bad of a chair, but it does get rather uncomfortable after 8 hours, ya know? This is coupled with the fact that I tutored for 3 hours straight last night, which was three hours spent on a hard kitchen chair, so by the time I got home last night I had shooting pains down the back of my thigh. :P Felt a lot better after a good night's sleep... but now I'm back at work I can feel it starting up again. HOWEVER, on the bright side... I have been offered a massage on it this evening... *grin* 3. My left big toe -- let me tell you about the sure genius of this one. Tuesday morning I decided it was time to clip my toenails. (TMI you say? Come on, we all gotta do it!) You can see where this is going, can't you... yeah, I managed to chop a hole in the side of my big toe. It's not really THAT bad, at least, I don't think it is, I haven't really looked at it that carefully. I guess I'm afraid to. :P All I know is that it aches -- bearably, but it's there.

Yeesh... I think I'm becoming old. Here I am filling my blog with tales of my aches and pains... if I start saying "back in my day..." then somebody please slap me! ;)

So anyhow, on to more cheerful topics again. Oh wait, one more small rant. ;) (This is actually somewhat related to the upcoming weekend... sort of!) :) So like two months ago, April 28 to be exact, I ordered Joe a present online. It was going to be a two-month anniversary gift and I was pretty excited about it. The website said it would take about 5 days to make, and then 4 to 7 days to ship, so I'm like "cool, about two weeks, it'll be here in plenty of time" (our anniversary being the 24). Two weeks came and went, I was starting to wonder about it, and I happened to check my bank account balance and noted that they'd never charged me. So I sent them an email, got an automated response, heard nothing, heard nothing, gave up. Ah well, I still had my money, no harm done, I could make the thing myself if I was really inspired so I shrugged it off and made a mental note not to order from them again. So THEN, three days after graduation I get this email, "We're sorry for the delay, due to a glitch in our system some products ordered never made it to production. We'll ship your order right away." I'm like... cool! Except I had moved, but I replied with my new address and got a response the same night saying it was no problem. They also charged me at that time, but no problem... I was willing to give them another chance. I started counting down again, hoping maybe it would come in time to be a slightly late three-month anniversary gift. It is now three weeks later, and no sign of it. :P I check the status of my order every day and it's still saying "In Production". I sent an email to Customer Service on Monday and haven't heard back, except for another of those automated replies (to which I replied, again, this time a bit more frazzled and less polite than I probably ought to be). *sigh* All this just for one little #$&^* (can't say what it is, cuz I'm still, somehow, hoping it will come, or if it doesn't maybe I WILL just make the damn thing). It WAS a great idea. It WOULD HAVE BEEN a cool surprise. It still could be, if it would just get here. ;) It's only been TWO MONTHS. Maybe I can give it to him for our SIX MONTH anniversary. I should have it by then. Hehehe. :)

ANYWAY, thanks for listening. ;) I'm in a great mood today, and I think I might even write up those people at that dot-com and bother them some more... maybe if I send them emails every day they'll get back to me. :D Other than that, plans for today are not really too complicated. There's work, first of all. I know I'm going to have a project to do, but my boss said not to start it until he sends me an official email, so for now I'm just waiting. Besides work, well, today on my lunch break I'm going to call the guy at Erie Insurance Group and see if I can set up an appointment... step one in the car process. :) Then tonight I get to go home and make dinner for my guys... Joe and my brothers Locke and Jeffy are all coming over for a little while, cuz it's Jeffy's birthday and I decided he needs to celebrate it. ;) So that will be fun! And then tomorrow of course, after a little more work, it's off to fun and fruit at the Falls... that will be so great! :D It really can't get much better than this... I wish I would realize that more often. I'm a lucky girl. :)

Oh... last thing. :) Yesterday, having no actual work on my plate, I spent the afternoon (following a picnic lunch in Pasquale's parking lot with my Joe, which was a completely awesome half an hour day-brightener!) working on the design for my new website, www.peachsummer.com! (Oddly enough, that domain name actually points here right now, but I should be acquiring server space in the next month or so.) ;) Hopefully by the end of today I'll have the design incorporated into this here blog... but in case I get too busy for that... you can look here to see what it will [might] look like.
