John is getting 2 more teeth! And it's not the ones I expected. I figured his top front teeth would be the next 2 in, but instead he's going to have 4 across the bottom for awhile.
I picked up our pictures from JC Penney the other day. We have decided that from now on Joe will have to come when we get photos taken because he'll make better decisions under pressure. Not that the pictures are bad or anything. He just didn't like all the ones I picked, and besides that I picked too many. (Anybody want one?) Ah well. We'll just have to use our portrait club and coupons to mooch free 8x10's. :)
We canceled cable this week. Time Warner decided they were going to increase our group rate (through the school) from $18 to $32 a month for basic. We decided that basic cable isn't worth more than $20, definitely not $32. "But it's still a great deal! The regular rate is $52!" We think to ourselves, what kind of moron would pay over $50 a month? (With apologies to any morons who may be reading. ;) ) You're paying to be bombarded with commercials (remember when having cable meant no commercials?), and it's not like there's ever anything good on anyway. We've decided to spend our $18 on Netflix instead -- movies and tv shows, no commercials. Joe's put Star Trek TNG into our queue, plus he watched Quantum Leap today via their online access thing. And when John is old enough for TV, he can watch pre-Elmo Sesame Street. (I've come to the conclusion that my feelings about Elmo can be likened to the way my sister feels about Tweety Bird.)
We're such freaks. No cable and no cell phone. How do we survive in the modern world? :D
