Big Changes Coming...

Big changes coming to the website in the near future. Due to the high percentage chance that Joe's college students will be accessing the site in the coming weeks, I will probably be moving my entire personal site onto its own subdomain. I figure it is probably best for his students not to be reading their teacher's girlfriend's blog, nor coming across incriminating (though adorable) pictures of him. Those things don't exactly command respect or professionalism...

Anyway, I'll put the link up before it moves in case anyone wants to find it. I'm also thinking about redesigning while I'm at it, but we'll see if that actually happens. There are more pressing things to do, one of which is put together a talk on marriage for the RCIA candidates in (gulp) two weeks. Two weeks! And here I wasn't going to leave this until the last minute... sigh. I'll also need to put a splash up on www.peachsummer.com and figure out a greater purpose for it. Not to mention all the things I'd like to do with the Webquest site (Joe's grad project, which we want to continue expanding and hopefully turn into a usable tool for teachers). So much to do.

In other news, Joe's new job seems to be going well so far. He started teaching yesterday at an all-boys boarding school for students with learning disabilities. He'll be moving on campus this weekend, which will make for an interesting next few months for him (and me). He'll be kind of an RD in a dorm full of teenage boys. The school pays for his apartment, which is bigger than mine, and all his meals and stuff, on top of his salary. So it works out. :) This is only through May, so he's still looking for a permanent position for the fall (but the experience can only help him in that regard!).

The only downside to his new job is that it means Joe is stuck there while the rest of us go to Georgia. :P

As far as myself, things are mostly the same, except for that growing ball of excitement about Tybee Island in just under a month. I'm going to be driving down, which I'm actually looking forward to -- I've been on plenty of car trips but never as a driver. Since last summer I've really enjoyed just driving around and seeing where I end up (I found a lot of fun, alternate routes between here and Caz). I've kinda got a travel bug, I guess. Lately I'm having this desire to just pack up and drive halfway across the country and see someplace I've never seen before. Just map out a route and stop wherever it looks interesting. Just for a few days. Just because I can. I guess I'm hoping that things will be semi-promising in that regard this summer. :P We'll have to see how the money and the vacation time play out. Keeping in mind that by next year I'll probably wish I had that money to put toward a wedding, a honeymoon, and a house...

Anyway, to work!
