One month to go

It is somewhat surreal. After having spent the past fourteen months (who am I kidding, girls spend their whole lives thinking about this) planning, saving, buying, making lists, decision-making, and fretting about silly things... it is actually getting here. It is actually going to happen. I don't know why this is so unreal to me, but I keep looking at the calendar in disbelief.

At present, my living room is full of boxes. Not nearly enough boxes to contain everything, I might add. Books, knick-knacks, photos have been cleared off the bookcases and walls and packed away. There is so much left to do. In a couple of weeks everything will migrate to its temporary home in Joe's current apartment, only to be moved again shortly after. (We are moving from an upstairs apartment to a downstairs apartment.)

My dress is off being cleaned and pressed, which, by the way, is going to cost more than what I spent to actually purchase the darn thing. I finally have all my accessories and various underthings. Joe's ring, and the favors have been ordered. The bridesmaid gifts are all purchased, though they need wrapping. ;-) A hair appointment has been made for the day of, and tomorrow is my consultation/meet-the-stylist/pre-wedding hair trial. Things are coming together.

This weekend is my second shower, with Mom and my sister and Molly and all the family and friends from my hometown. I can't wait! In another 3 weeks or so, the girls at work are having another little shower for me. Last week, I received a very sweet card, gift card, and a Mass card from the lovely Feminae Fatales of DCF -- a bridal shower by mail! I'm not used to so much attention!

Four weeks from today, Wyl arrives (and possibly Angela too!). The number of things that have to happen between now and then is crazy, but it will all get done, and I'm getting pretty excited. :-)
