The Eva Has Landed

Eventually, I will write a real update, but now is not the time for that.

In honor of Eva's first birthday yesterday (and because I promised her mother), new photos of the Denis firstborn have been scanned and posted in the photo album for your enjoyment. :) See left for a teaser. :D Maybe someday I will scan and post other goings-on of this past year (or more), but now is not the time for that either. ;)

Joe and I had a lovely time at Miss Eva's first birthday party over the weekend. I can't wait to get the pictures back from that, especially the one of her going after the cake. Most babies I've met, you set the cake in front of them and they'll smush it with their hands and then cram it into their mouths. But not Eva. No, she knew just what she wanted, and when the time came she opened her little mouth up as wide as it would go and dove right in face-first. Priceless. That is my kind of girl! :)

In other Denis news, I don't believe I've mentioned it yet, but Lamb #2 is confirmed female, which means that in a couple of years hidden cameras may catch Grant up to his ears in ruffles and teaparties. Baby is scheduled to make her grand appearance toward the end of February next year. Molly reports that even in the womb she exhibits classic second-child behavior, which should be fun for her parents (both of whom, I might add, are the firstborn in their families).

In other baby news: my cousin Lindsay is having a boy sometime in the next couple of weeks, Molly's nephew is due in November, Tim and Cathy are expecting their third next June (Joe and I are betting on a boy this time, but we'll see), and my Sims are multiplying like rabbits. Life is good.

Stay tuned for more random life updates in a forthcoming entry. :)
