I love that the Catholic Church celebrates Mass every day. Every single day.
I went to Mass this morning. I was the youngest person there. It was neat though. Same format as every Sunday Mass. Gloria. Kyrie. Readings. Short homily. Offering. Sanctus. Eucharist. We even sang a hymn. (I'm betting not all the priests lead hymns at weekday Masses, but Father Jim B always likes to sing even without accompaniment.)
I'm used to going to church on Sundays and Holy Days. But today was just a regular day. Plain old ordinary Monday. Yet there is Mass. Everywhere in the world, the faithful gather to worship, to hear the word of God and to receive Him through His perfect sacrifice. Every day.
Every single day.
Once you realize that, there's no such thing as an ordinary day.
