What season are we in?

It is SNOWING right now. Great, big, white, fluffy, unmistakable snowflakes, and they are STICKING on the ground. Not even Joe can deny it. (Unless he's changed the definition again, which is possible. Last I knew, according to him, "it's not really snowing if it's not sticking" and it's sticking, therefore it must be snowing.)

(Actually, according to the rules of logic, I think I am wrong. Joe's statement as I have it above could be reworded as "If it's not sticking, then it's not snowing", or more simply, "Not sticking implies not snowing", or "~s -> ~n". So if "~s -> ~n" is a true statement, then its contrapositive "n -> s" is true, but its inverse "s -> n" is not necessarily true. So my saying "If it is sticking, then it is snowing" would not follow from the rules of logic as a true statement. Luckily, I know it to be true in spite of that. :-P)

(Can you believe that I actually thought that hard about it?)

Glancing out the window when I returned from a meeting this afternoon, the first thing I thought of was this post I wrote back in February. February! I can't believe I wrote it so long ago. I can't believe we've been engaged for 8 months already, or how fast the time is going. Most of all, I can't believe it is snowing right now. Snowing!

And I didn't even bring a coat.
