And just like that, winter is here!
Right now I am watching the snow coming down outside my window, little teeny flakes, just giving the ground that powdered-sugar look. It still doesn't look like Hamburg, where we got about 1 1/2 feet of the white stuff yesterday. It was kind of nice though, I took the day off from work (had to really, my car wasn't moving) and watched the drift on my balcony pile up to about 3 feet high. Joe, the sweetest of the sweet, brought a shovel over this morning to dig out the car and get rid of the drift.
I'm feeling pretty good today, not minding the snow at all. With less than a week until Thanksgiving, it is the perfect time for the snow to come. Harry Potter 4 opens today and Joe and I are going to see it with his family. Even though I have to work 3 days next week, it feels as though vacation has already started... which is dangerous because it means I am feeling pretty lazy right now! I'm excited for the holiday though, looking forward to seeing my family, meeting my new baby cousin, seeing Molly, and everything else. And eating. Nothing beats holiday food!
I finally started my Christmas shopping this week. Actually one of my first purchases was something for myself... :P I seem to be struggling more with ideas for people this year than in years past. That's probably not true, I am always struggling with ideas for certain people. Even so, I'm excited about some of the things I have found so far. And there is still a month of shopping to go. :)
Anyway, I need to get back to work, at least for a couple more hours. Then I can go meet up with my sweetheart! *sigh* This place needs to institute a "Bring your cute to work day". :)
