Perfect weather for a snow day today, as far as I can tell from my office window. Clear blue sky, sunshine. Temperature peaking at 42. Sure there's a flood warning due to the 6-8 inches of snow from this weekend which will be melting in the heat wave, but for those of us not living adjacent to bodies of water... perfect day for a snow day.
Of course, I'm at work observing all this from a sliver of window in my new office, yawning at my computer, trying to remember how to program in C, pondering the feasibility of skipping my lunch breaks from now on and instead leaving half an hour early. That would be sweet. I'm also insanely jealous of schoolchildren. And teachers. Not really though. The one who tied my shoes this morning is spending his day off doing... more work. Always more work. So I take back the part about being jealous of teachers. I don't want their job. Hell, half the time I don't even want MY job.
Still, wish I had a snow day. :)
