On Monday evening, I found out that rather than getting a tax return this year, I actually owe the government $700.



Okay, no biggie, Tuesday morning I fixed all my tax forms so that much money will be coming out of my paychecks. Well and good. Next year = big refund.



On Tuesday evening, my car, which has been idling unsteadily for 2 or 3 weeks (apparently not getting enough gas through the engine while it idles?), decided that now it will stall whenever I put it in gear.



Okay, no biggie, I was going to buy a new car anyway. In the meantime, I will just deal with having to press both the gas and brake pedals at once to put it in gear.



Ah well. At least the thought of my very own brand-new car (under full warranty so I don't have to pay anything when it breaks) makes everything seem better.
